About the company:

Chorez™ is a product from the folks at COWALA CO, LLC, a company devoted to digital tools related to finance, family and productivity.  We are located in the beautiful coastal city of Wilmington, NC, far from the hustle and bustle of the big city, but in an area full of creatives who love to work hard and enjoy life. COWALA CO. started as a family business (literally) in 2015, when the company's founder, Peter Robichau, sat down with his wife and kids to talk about ways to improve "family operations." They worked through the process of defining roles and developing systems that would lead to a collaborative household - where expectations were clear and where rewards were based on performance.  The "Robichau kids" came up with the company name COWALA, which is an acronym for Cool Organization With a Lame Acronym, they settled on a family brand/logo, and thus, COWALA was born.

Fast forward two years, and those paper systems and processes (as well intentioned as they were) needed updating. They were still cumbersome and hard to track, but the concepts were solid. The COWALA family system needed a digital update.

COWALA CO. LLC was formally established in 2017 to bring good family management systems and tools into the digital age, and the first product offering from this venture is the Chorez ™ mobile app. It is a Chore Management System that solves the problems with a traditional chore list, and adds a host of features and benefits that only a digital system can offer.  We hope that you will appreciate all of the thought (and years of testing) that went into this product, and we hope to offer you many more tools in the years to come.

MEET THE TEAM

Peter

Peter

Cofounder and Head of Chorez

Peter is a father and husband (first and foremost), but he is also a published author, public speaker, management consultant and a visionary technologist with a passion for solving complex problems (though he has yet to solve the problem of pervasive, auto-tuned popular music, he is working hard to find a solution). With 4 kids, over 20 years of experience in the tech world and several totally unrelated academic degrees, Peter brings a wealth of leadership experience to the table as the COWALA Co. CEO.

Christine

Christine

Cofounder and Head of Operations

Christine worked as an executive assistant in the SC Governor's Office under David Beasley (now director of the United Nations World Food Program) before pursuing a more noble career as mom-to-four and keeper-of-the-home. Her biggest achievement to date is her role as "Best mom, hands down." She's committed to spreading the word about our revolutionary platform.

Marlon

Marlon

Head of Engineering and Development

Marlon is a monster coder and a mastermind engineer. Full-stack, half-stack and everything in between, he leads our technical team, and has built some amazing tech for Chorez™ and he's excited about taking us to the next level.

Ronna

Ronna

Lead Software Engineer

Ronna writes elegant code, has a great eye for design and can work competently in all phases (and at all levels) of development. She's a great asset to the Chorez™ team, and is a shining example of a highly capable "girl who codes."

Jeff

Jeff

Head of Growth

Jeff is not just a social media and marketing expert, he's a growth-hacking-genius (not his words, ours). Jeff is the wizard behind Chorez™ growth strategies and has a wealth of successful launch strategies in his proverbial tool chest.

Marina

Marina

Wonderful daughter and application tester

Marina might be young-ish (but she's the oldest of the two Robichau kids ... still in the house). Marina is a great video editor (and a budding ukelele player). She loves seeing her favorite musicians perform live (TØP and Declan McKenna) and chilling on the dock with a fishing pole.

Isaac

Isaac

Chill boy, and another application tester ...

Issac loves doing chores! (not really ... but he does love earning money, and using the Chorez™ app!). He is goof-ball, full of great ideas and he offers us lots of useful feedback (when he isn't playing Fortnight or noodling around in the creek behind our house).
